Programs & Projects
Ahvant Foundation's work is organised through four specialised centres, each driving a distinct pillar of India's net-zero transition.
LC4 — Low Carbon Comfort and Cooling Collective
An outcome-driven platform for committed actors across the Global South to deliver measurable cooling emission reductions. LC4 has secured commitments from Indian Railways, EESL, NTPC, and major private sector players — with a target to reduce cooling emissions by 50% and mobilise USD 1 billion in financing by 2030.

Center for Net Zero Education, Exchange & Transformation
C-NEXT is Ahvant's knowledge and capacity building engine, delivering professional development, accreditation, and institutional capacity building across India's built environment sector.
Net Zero Professional Development Programme
Continued education and executive courses for architects, engineers, and facility managers — covering energy-efficient design, ECBC compliance, HVAC optimisation, and net-zero certification pathways.
Institutional Capacity Building
Customised training programmes for government bodies, urban local bodies, and large institutional building owners — embedding net-zero understanding at the organisational level.
University Curriculum Integration
Working with architecture and engineering colleges to embed energy efficiency and net-zero content into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
Center for Demand Flexibility
C-FLEX is building the institutional architecture for demand flexibility as a mainstream grid resource — working with policymakers, regulators, utilities, and technology innovators across India.
Demand Flexibility Regulatory Framework
Working with state electricity regulatory commissions to develop demand flexibility regulations, portfolio obligations, and market mechanisms — following models from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Karnataka.
DISCOM Capacity Building Programme
Building institutional capacity within electricity distribution companies to design, implement, and evaluate demand flexibility programmes — from pilot design to settlement and M&V.
Market Architecture Design
Designing transparent market mechanisms and real-time platforms for demand flexibility signal exchange and settlement, with standardised measurement and verification protocols.
Center for Low Emission Cooling Transition
C-LECT drives the decarbonisation of cooling across the Global South through the LC4 platform, working with governments, manufacturers, financial institutions, and consumers.
LC4 — Low Carbon Comfort and Cooling Collective
The flagship programme — an outcome-driven collective for committed actors to deliver measurable cooling emission reductions. Active in India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
Learn More →Super-Efficient Cooling Procurement
Working with EESL and large institutional buyers to aggregate procurement of super-efficient air conditioners — achieving performance 25% better than BEE 5-Star standards at scale.
Consumer Finance for Efficient Cooling
Developing consumer financing models to ease the transition to energy-efficient cooling — in discussions with Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, and HDFC.
Center for Data Analytics for Sustainable Habitat
C-DASH builds India's building sector data infrastructure — operating public dashboards and developing monitoring frameworks to quantify the impact of climate mitigation efforts.
NEEM — National Energy End-use Monitoring
A live public dashboard providing real-time residential energy consumption data across climate zones, cities, family sizes, and building types. Based on the 2019 Residential Energy End Use Study.
Visit Dashboard →IAQ Dashboard
Live indoor air quality monitoring across Indian buildings — tracking PM2.5, PM10, CO₂, and thermal comfort indicators in real time.
Visit Dashboard →Building Energy Passport & EMIS
A Building Energy Passport and Energy Management and Information System to provide every building with a verifiable energy performance baseline — enabling benchmarking, target-setting, and performance tracking.
